Map My Home Project was initiated with a motive to map all the missing Government offices, hospitals and other places in google maps. The first phase was completed with a team of college students in Trivandrum with more than 2K new additions to the maps. For the second phase 20 students each from 18 colleges were selected from 3 districts, Trivandrum, Ernakulam and Kozhikode who were given orientation classes. MACE scored a total of more than 105000 approved edits, followed by KMCT who had 85000+ approved edits.
Mr. Mir said, “MACE had a clinical approach towards mapping each day. They were really practical and target oriented”. Google officials reported that a total of more than 56000 new places were added under this project and possibly a 3rd phase of MMHP may not bring this result.
This can be remarked as one other achievement for MACE. Congratulations to the team!!
